About the publication (text source: e-Flux):
Engaging with the nuances of scarcity across extreme climate regions, Field Notes on Scarcity addresses pressing contemporary issues ranging from climate crisis mitigation to global health pandemics, violent conflicts, forced migration, and strategies for dismantling colonialist frameworks for land use and the built environment. Through the interdisciplinary lenses of architecture and design, the volume highlights the importance of shifting our perspectives and practices away from a reliance on permanence and abundance, advocating for a more sustainable, adaptable, and resilient approach to design.
