Together with their fellow campaigners, Matri-Archi(tecture) have also set themselves the task of expanding the definition of (architectural) knowledge depending on the cultural context in accordance with the respective narrative and documentation tradition. In doing so, they are not only pursuing the goal of breaking up the canon, but also developing contemporary pedagogical formats for architectural education on this basis. In addition to their design practice, they use various text forms and podcasts as well as exhibitions. Matri-Archi(tecture)s activist approach is aimed at broadening (educational) access to architecture, including its theoretical and practical forms, and works beyond the exclusion mechanisms of private and public universities in Central Europe and North America and back into cities on the African continent.
