Wakanda's Afro-Futuristic "Masterplan": An Ecosystem of flexible BIM Structures for Urban Nomads is an article written by Khensani de Klerk and Solange Mbanefo in an ongoing partnership with Archdaily. The article speaks across the urban planning scale to the human scale on the street when focus on local and unrecognised systems, often undermined in their categorisation as ‘informal’. The article focuses on designing for the dynamism of a constantly influx context in Johannesburg for amagwinya (hot cakes) women traders as well as reflecting on how the relationship between this market and the informal minibus market. The article describes research on an unpublished and ongoing design project that Matri-Archi aims to produce for amagwinya traders in Johannesburg.
